The automotive parts shortage that the industry is experiencing goes far beyond just the shortage of microchips.

Today, there is a wide cross-section of automotive parts that are in short supply varying by type of part and make and model of vehicle. These parts constraints are causing repair jobs to take much longer to complete, thereby lengthening fleet vehicle downtime and increasing fleet costs.

Enterprise Fleet Management does an annual review for us. They saved over $3,500, just negotiating better prices for tires, brakes and services. If you add that to the savings we get on fuel and switching our insurance to Enterprise. Plus, the savings on buying the vehicles up front, and the equity that comes from selling the vehicle, I estimate I’m getting back $15,000 each year.
